The government's decision regarding the Dar Al Watan Journalism Printing and Publishing Company was not spurred by political motives but by appropriate required regulations, said a Kuwaiti minister on Tuesday.
The decision regarding the company came after much examination and study and was taken in view of available data, said State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah, in a press statement, after having attended the parliamentary committee meeting for prioritizing parliamentary issues.
He bemoaned the fact that when the government was asked to apply the law and did it, some would protest saying "we in the government politicize issues." He stressed that all was done with sincere intentions regarding the company.
