
At least 48 Taliban militants were killed following a military operation in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan.
The operations were conducted by Afghan national security forces in Alborz district on Thursday night.
Afghan’s Khaama Press (KP) quoted Abdul Razaq Qaderi, provincial security chief, as saying that at least 12 Taliban militants were also injured during the overnight operation.
In the meantime, the Taliban group spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid claimed that 32 members of the Afghan national police and Afghan national army were killed during the clashes.
