At least 70 bodies of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant's (ISIL) militants had been brought into the mortuary in the town of Tal Abyadh in Raqqa over the past four days, according to a monitoring group.
The ISILI militants were killed in clashes with Kurds' forces in the Syrian border town of Ain Al-Arab (Kobane) and the surrounding areas, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said in a statement, citing medics and witnesses.
Kobane is experiencing cautious calm mixed with exchange of fire, the statement added, noting that ISIL militants hit Kobane's outskirts while the US-led coalition aircraft were flying over the town.
There were ongoing clashes and bombardments in different areas in Syria, mainly in the cities of Damascus and Homs, the statement added.
It was reported that scores of civilians were killed or injured in air raids launched by the Syrian regime's aircrafts in Damascus' town of Douma, the main center of opposition.
