
Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qedra has announced that the death toll from the Israeli continued brutal aggression against Gaza, which entered its 35th day, rose to 1939 martyrs before the announcement of a temporary ceasefire started at midnight Sunday.
In a statement issued today, Al-Qedra said that among the martyrs, 467 children, 243 women and 87 elderly men.
The Israeli brutal aggression also left 9886 wounded, including 3009 children, 1912 women and 359 elderly, he added.
He pointed out that a number of citizens, including five civil defense crews, were wounded and suffocated during fire extinguishing operation of a factory in Gaza City used to make cleaning products that was hit by the occupation forces before the ceasefire, adding that the home of Gaza's mayor Nizar Hijazi was also hit.
