The Israeli occupation army scaled up the air attacks on the Palestinian homes in the northern Beit Lahia town and other parts of Gaza Strip on Sunday evening despite reports of an agreement in Cairo to renew the 72-hour ceasefire as of this midnight.
The intensified air raids lasted for an hour, killed at least four civilians and wounded 25 others in Beit Lahia, local medical sources said.
In the southern city of Khan Younus, three people were killed and six others injured in similar air raids on the eastern districts of the city.
The three were identified by medics at Khan Yunis hospital as Ihsan Al-Agha, 23, Hussein Kawar'e, 24 and Omar Garbou'e, 27.
In Bir Al-Na'ja district of Jabalia town, to the north of the Strip, Saqr Rayhan, 35, was killed and six others wounded by an Israeli gunship.
The Israeli artillery continued pounding the eastern parts of Hajar Al-Dik village, east Gaza, and Al-Sawareha district in Al-Nusairat refugee camp, inflicting extensive material damage and a yet-to-be-specified number of casualties.
Today's casualties took the number of Palestinian victims of the 35-day Israeli aggression, which started on July 8, to 1,939 deaths and 9,886 wounded.
The martyrs include 467 children, 243 women and 87 elderly people while those wounded include 3,009 children, 1,912 women and 350 elderly, according to statistics of the Ministry of Health here.
