
US military forces continued attacks against ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq Friday and Saturday, launching 23 airstrikes in total, said US Central Command (CENTCOM).
In Syria, a bomber aircraft destroyed an artillery piece of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant near the border town of Ain Al-Arab (Kobane).
In Iraq, US and partner nation military forces conducted 22 airstrikes using bombers and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL targets in Iraq, added (CENTCOM).
Three airstrikes near Baiji struck large and small ISIL units, destroyed an ISIL building and damaged another, and destroyed two fighting positions.
One airstrike southeast of the Mosul dam struck a large unit while 10 airstrikes west of the Dam struck four small ISIL units, one large unit, destroyed a building, six ISIL fighting positions and four staging locations.
Four strikes near Fallujah struck two small units, destroyed a vehicle and a fighting position, while two other airstrikes near Qurayat at Hajjaj struck a small unit and destroyed a building.
One airstrike east of Hay Al Arabi destroyed an ISIL building. An airstrike near Aynzalah destroyed a building.
Airstrike assessments are based on initial reports.
The statement said that the destruction of ISIL targets in Iraq and Syria further limit the group's ability to project power and conduct operations.
Among the coalition nations conducting those strikes in Iraq are the US, France, Britain, Australia, Belgium and the Netherlands. Strikes in Syria included the US, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Bahrain, said CENTCOM.
