Palestinians stage sits in in front of Israeli prisons

The Palestinian Prisoner's Committee has organized a sit in front of the Israeli prison of Gilboa in which Palestinian prisoners announced an open hunger strike as a prelude to the rest of the prisoners'' joining of the "Empty Intestines Battle" The participants who included local community citizens and representatives of Palestinian institutions raised logos, banners and pictures of the prisoners and then gave speeches in which they confirmed support of the prisoners demands. They also announced their intention to set up a permanent protest tent in front of the prison. Prisoners relatives also staged a sit in in front of Ashkelon prison and carried pictures and banners in three languages, demanding the release of prisoners and the alleviation of their suffering.
