Several bombings rocked coastal Syrian cities on Monday, leaving causalities and property losses.

The first bombings rocked the city of Jableh in the countryside of the coastal city of Latakia in northwestern Syria.

The national Syrian TV said four bombings targeted several areas in Jableh, including the bus station, the national hospital, and the electricity directorate.

The TV stopped short of giving a death toll.

A military source, meanwhile, told Xinhua on condition of anonymity that three car bombs were detonated in Jableh in tandem with the rebels' shelling on the city.

The source said ambulances rushed to the blasts site to help hospitalizing the wounded.

Sham FM radio also reported the blasts, saying at least five people were killed in Jableh.

Following the Jableh blasts, four bombings rocked the coastal city of Tartus, about 100 km from Latakia.

The national TV said one of three bombings took place near a bus station in Tartus city and were caused by suicide bombers and a car bomb.

It said a pickup truck went off at the gate of the bus station, while two suicide bombers detonated their explosive belts inside the station.

The fourth blast was a suicide bombing near Assad Suburb in Tartus.

Ahmad Ammar, the head of the Tatrus Health Department, said over 13 people were killed in the Tartus blasts, adding that the death toll is still preliminary.
