
At least one person was killed and 10 others injured in a blast in the northeastern Indian state of Manipur on Thursday, a senior police official said.
"The blast happened at Singjamei area near the office of Assam Rifles, an armed force, in state capital Imphal at 5.30 p.m. ( local time). The blast happened at a small market place. While one person was killed on the spot, the injured have been admitted to a local hospital," he said on condition of anonymity.
Those injured in the blast are mostly migrant workers, the official said.
A massive manhunt has been launched to track down the culprits, he added.
