10 killed as bus rams into tree in central India

At least 10 people were killed and several injured when the private passenger bus they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree on National Highway 6 in Mahasamund district of the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh Monday, around 1,300 km form here. The accident took place near Darripedaw village in Patewa area when the bus was heading to Jhalap from Pithora, police said.
