
A bomb attack was foiled in Karachi in southern Pakistan on Wednesday.Pakistani Bomb disposal squad (BDS) said they received information about a suspicious-looking steel canister lying outside a garment factory in the SITE industrial area in Karachi.The law-enforcers arrived at the site and called Bomb Disposal Squad to check the canister.The BDS officials said bomb was planted inside the canister. “It was a remote-controlled IED connected with detonator and a battery, weighing around 12 kg,” a BDS member told (SAMAA) news.Pakistani Bomb disposal squad (BDS) said that the bomb weighing 10 kilogram with explosive material, battery, detonator and ball bearings found at Nauras Chowrangi was defused, saving Karachi industrial area from yet another great disaster.
