Units of police backed by the army have killed 11 Taliban militants during series of operations across the country over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a statement released here on Monday.
According to the statement, the operations were conducted in Parwan, Balkh, Kandahar, Paktiya and Farah provinces, the troops besides killing 11 armed Taliban members had also wounded two more others.
There were no casualties on the security personnel, the statement contended.
Taliban militants fighting the government have yet to make comment.
