12 dead, 3 injured in China road accident

Twelve people died and another 3 were injured in a pileup on an expressway in Laizhou City in the eastern province of Shandong on Friday evening, local authorities said.
Four vehicles, including a coach, collided on the Laizhou section of Rongcheng-Wuhai Expressway at 6:30 p.m. Two vehicles caught fire as a result of the impact.
The injured were transferred to hospital, and the fire has been extinguished.
The incident is now subject to an investigation.
