14 dead in Nigeria after bus plunges into river

Fourteen people were killed Saturday midnight after a passenger bus fell into a river in Nigeria\'s central northern Kebbi State, an official said on Sunday. The accident occurred when the driver lost control and the vehicle plunged into Kende River, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)\'s state chairman in Kebbi Tukur Mari told reporters. He said 14 of the 15 passengers in the vehicle died while the only survivor was receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Dakingari area of the state.
