15 killed, many others injured as bus fell from Metro Manila Skyway

A passenger bus fell from the Philippines' premier skyway in the southern Manila suburb of Taguig in an early Monday rush hour, instantly killing 15 people and seriously injuring many others on board, initial police reports said. Police reports said the speeding south-bound Don Mariano Bus transit vehicle skidded on slippery portion of rain-soaked Skyway' s Bicutan area in Taguig and went out of control seconds before its deadly fall. A private van was hit upon by the falling bus. Rescuers pulled out from the bus wreck 11 dead males and four females. The injured were rushed to different hospitals. Two were from the van, and the number of injured from the bus remained undetermined, police said.
