China's maritime authorities have rescued all 15 North Korean sailors on board whose cargo ship sank after hitting rocks off China's northeastern coast, state media reported Monday. The accident took place on Sunday in waters near China's northeastern port city of Dalian, and Chinese authorities swiftly dispatched a helicopter after receiving an emergency call, the state-run China News Service said. All of the North Korean crew members were airlifted to safety by the Chinese helicopter, South Korea's (Yonhap) News Agency reported. The cargo ship, named "Saebyeol," which means "New Star," is flagged in Cambodia, but it remains unclear whether the ship is owned by North Korea, the report said.
