
Out of 11 Russians injured in the major road accident in Crimea, one woman is in severe condition and one man is in moderately severe condition, Russian Consul General in Simferopol Vyacheslav Svetlichny told Itar-Tass on Thursday. “Immediately after receiving information regarding the accident the General Consulate got in touch with the Ukrainian State Service of Emergency Situations and other emergency services; Feodosia city hospital and is keeping the situation constantly under control,” he noted. Eight Muscovites and three residents of St. Petersburg were among injured Russians. Two Belarusian citizens and three Ukrainian citizens, one of which is in severe condition, were also injured in the traffic accident. According to the Ukrainian State Service of Emergency Situations, four cars GAZ-3309, Daewoo Lanos, Mazda and a minibus Mercedes Sprinter on a tourist tour from Kerch to Bakhchisaray, got stuck in a major accident on the Kerch highway not far from Feodosia. The minivan was carrying 16 people. According to preliminary reports, brake failure of the GAZ-3309 truck triggered the accident. The truck skidded on the oncoming lane, hit Daewoo Lanos and Mazda and collided with the bus.
