2 dead in chain road accident of 50 vehicles in Belgium

Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a chain road accident of 50 cars in west Belgium, reported local television VRT. The accident occurred on the road between Ieper and Kortrijk in West Flanders, two cities near the French border, mainly due to a thick fog. The death toll could rise, according to police. Traffic was therefore severely disrupted following the most serious road accident in Belgium this winter.
