3 civilians killed by CAR rebels

Three civilians were killed on Wednesday during an attack by rebels of the Seleka coalition in the Central African Republic, according to witnesses. At least ten other people were injured when about 20 rebels, in two vehicles, opened fire on residents of Bangui's Fatima neighbourhood. The rebels entered the area to try to abduct a young man for unknown reasons, and started shooting into the crowd who tried to protect him, witnesses told dpa.
