At least three people, including one police officer, were injured when armed assailants attacked police in the Turkish largest city of Istanbul on Tuesday, local newspaper Today\'s Zaman reported on its website. The incident occurred in the Gaziosmanpasa district in Istanbul and paramedics rushed to the area and took the injured to nearby hospitals, the report said, adding that a bomb disposal unit was also summoned to the scene after police noticed a suspicious package. Initial reports said one of the assailants was captured soon after the attack and police has launched an investigation to capture other attacks who fled the scene, according to the report.
