30 dead in Indian road crash

At least 30 people, including 12 children, have been killed when a cargo truck crashed into two minivans filled with labourers in the north-eastern Indian state of Assam, police said. Nearly a dozen people are injured and police said five of them are critical. Many of the women workers were accompanied by their children.
