34 people die, 11 reported missing in floods in Vietnam

Thirty-four people died and 11 people went missing in central districts of Vietnam, Southeast Asia, as a result of the most devastating floods since 1999 triggered by torrential rain, the head of the regional emergency situation committee in the city of Da Nang said on Sunday. “According to our latest reports, the number of fatalities reached 34 people, 11 people were reported missing. Motor, air and railway traffic was disrupted strongly,” the official told France Presse. According to preliminary reports, the damage may reach 65 million dollars.
