At least four people, including two children, were killed Wednesday in an explosion in northern Afghanistan, dpa cited an official as saying.
"There was an explosion in a crowded bazaar in Dawlat Abad district
at 9:30 am (0500 GMT)," said Ahmad Javid Bedar, spokesman for the governor of Faryab province.
Nine civilians and a police officer were wounded in the explosion.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack.
