6 inmates killed in prison riot in Northern Mexico

Six inmates died during a fight at a jail in the northern Mexican city of Reynosa on the US border, authorities in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas said Monday. According to dpa, three inmates, aged 26 to 36, admitted to having been involved in the attack late Sunday on their peers, prison authorities said. They apparently used handmade weapons, the local prosecutor's office said.
