
Seven students from Nguyen Binh Khiem secondary school in Dau Tieng district of Vietnam's southern Binh Duong Province have been drowned after being swept away by sea waves at a beach in southern Ho Chi Minh ( HCM) City, local press reported Monday. Specifically, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon when the students were on a school field trip to Can Gio District of HCM City, reported Vietnam's state-run TV station VTV. During a rest at Can Gio beach, 12 male students went swimming, of whom seven were swept away by big sea waves. As of early Monday morning, all seven bodies were found. The victims are among the school's 19 teachers and 96 students joining the trip. Related authorities are working on the consequence.
