8 Dead, Others Missing After Boat Capsizes in India

Eight bodies were recovered from a river in southern India and at least four people were still missing after a boat capsized, police said Thursday.
The vessel, a kind of boat called a coracle, was packed with more than 25 people.
The accident took place in Karnataka state's Shimoga district. All the victims were men, German News Agency (DPA) quoted an official police as saying.
A search for the missing continued, he added.
