T Police raided a house in the northern Takhar province and discovered huge quantity of arms and ammunitions on Tuesday, police spokesman in the province, Abdul Khalil Asir said. "Acting upon intelligence report, personnel of police raided a house in provincial capital Taluqan city in the wee hours of today and discovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions including explosive devices, mines, remote controls and fuses," Asir told Xinhua. No one has been arrested in this regard, he said, adding the militants might have used the contraband in sabotaging peace and security in Takhar province.
