At least eight people were killed in a suicide bomb attack on Sunday morning in Sangueleri, locality of the Far North region of Cameroon near the Nigerian border, security sources told Xinhua.
A young woman aged around 25 years old has blown herself up with an explosive belt at around 8 a.m. local time that triggered a deadly explosion, causing at least eight deaths, including the attacker. Two to six others were wounded, according to these sources.
The attack has brought to 14 the number of suicide attacks registered since July in the Far North region of Cameroon.
The attack has not been claimed, but the national defense and security forces suspect the Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram to be the instigator.
Sangueleri is a town located some 30 km from the city of Mora, one of the targets of attacks by the terrorist group on the Cameroonian territory at the Nigerian border.
