Australia Car-Ramming Death Toll Rises to 5
Melbourne - Arab Today
A three-month-old baby boy who was injured in the car-ramming incident in the Australian city of Melbourne has died, bringing the death toll to five.
The baby and a 10-year-old girl were among five people killed when a driver deliberately ran over pedestrians in a busy street in central Melbourne on Friday.
Photos from the scene showed wreckage of a baby's pram atop the car's bonnet, as emergency workers attended to injured people nearby on the ground. Two men and a woman aged 25, 33 and 32 respectively, were among those killed, a spokeswoman for Victoria police confirmed.
The 3-month-old had been in a critical condition early on Saturday before passing away later that evening, the CNN reported.
At least 20 people were injured in the incident, Victoria Police said, which ended when police shot and wounded the driver before taking him into custody. Police confirmed the incident was not terrorism related.

to 'eternal style' of late Alaia
Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
