Ban Ki-moon receives credentials of Qatar\'\'s permanent representative to UN

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has received the credentials of HE Ambassador Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani, the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations.        The ambassador conveyed to the Secretary-General greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the greetings of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as the greetings of HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani.     Then, they discussed regional and international issues as well as items on the agenda of the 66 session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting underlined the role played by Qatar within the framework of international and regional organizations.
