A British Airways jet caught fire on the runway at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, forcing the evacuation of the passengers on board.
"There were 159 passengers and 13 crew on the flight," according to the airport's Twitter account. "Two were transported for minor injuries."
The Federal Aviation Administration said the fire broke out in the plane's left engine prompting the crew to abort takeoff.
The 275-seat B77-200 jet was headed to London's Gatwick Airport.
The passengers were immediately evacuated, officials at McCarran Airport said.
