Eight people were killed and 28 others injured in a bus crash in west Thailand's Kanchanaburi province on Sunday, local media reported.
A tour bus carrying 40 passengers crashed into a concrete barrier at a downhill curve in Kanchanaburi's Si Sawat district and overturned before noon, local police were quoted by the Bangkok Post as saying.
Rescuers managed to extricate all those hurt, 19 of whom sustained serious injuries, and the bodies of the dead, including the driver, from the wreckage of the bus.
The passengers were company employees from the central Samut Sakhon province, police said, adding they were returning from a rafting trip in Kanchanaburi when the deadly accident happened.
Investigators believed that the driver was possibly unfamiliar with the route and lost control of the vehicle.
