Child killed in huge explosion in Lagos

An eight-year-old Nigerian child was killed and 30 people were injured in a huge blast that ripped through a warehouse full of fireworks in Jankara area in Lagos Wednesday. Many of those injured are in critical condition. An eyewitness told MENA correspondent the massive explosion sparked flames that extended to nearby houses. Residents first thought a plane had crashed because of the powerful sound of the explosion, the eyewitness said. Firefighters are still trying to put out the fire, he added.
