Iran’s state television says a passenger train has derailed in central Iran, killing 4 and injuring 35 people on board. The TV says the train derailed outside the city of Yazd late on Friday evening. The TV quoted provincial Governor Mohammad Reza Falahzadeh as saying yesterday those killed included two train operators and two passengers. Falahzadeh says the injured have been rushed to hospitals in Yazd. The city is 677 km south of the Iranian capital, Tehran. The TV says the cause of the accident is being investigated.
