
All 27 miners of the Ziminka coalmine which caught fire in the Russian Kemerovo region, Western Siberia, have been evacuated, the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS on Saturday.
“As of 21.00 Moscow Time, the evacuation is complete and all the people have come to the surface,” it said adding that the probe into the incident was underway.
The reports about the fire were registered at 20.20 Moscow time.
The Ziminka coalmine is located in the city of Prokopyevsk, where it started operating in 1927-1929.
