Crane overturn kills 5 in east China

Another three people died in hospital after a crane overturned in east China's Shandong Province, bringing the death toll to five as of Saturday night.
The accident happened at 7:50 a.m. on Saturday in Liaocheng City, where a crane at a construction site in a chemical plant fell over.
Rescuers found nine injured people and sent them to local hospitals, and two of them died before noon. Another three died later despite treatment.
The crane operator has been put under police custody.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
