The death toll in northern parts of India due to the ongoing intense cold conditions has risen to 93, most of whom were old and the homeless, reported the Press Trust of India (PTI). As many as 18 people died of the cold on Wednesday. The majority of cases, 63 deaths, have been reported from the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, while the rest took place in other northern states like Punjab, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
