
The death toll from July 15 Moscow metro accident rose to 24 after a woman died in hospital on Wednesday.
Alexei Khripun, the deputy head of the Moscow public health department, told Itar-Tass the woman had been in critical condition since July 15 with her lungs artificially ventilated.
On July 15, a train derailed on Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow metro. Twenty-two people died on the spot. Another two passengers died in hospital. A total of 128 people have been discharged from hospital while eight are still undergoing treatment.
