Police in New Brunswick believe a Canadian businessman found dead last year was killed by a \"person or persons unknown,\" a search warrant affidavit says. The affidavits involving the death of Richard Oland were unsealed Thursday, The Globe and Mail of Toronto reported. Oland, a member of the family that made Moosehead Beer and a financier who ran the company Far End Corp., was found dead in his St. John office last year. The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and the Saint John Telegraph Journal waged a long legal fight to get the affidavits released. A lawyer for the two companies was to argue Friday for the release of redacted portions of the documents. In the affidavits, investigators say \"person or persons unknown ... did commit murder on the person of Richard Henry Oland.\" The search warrants include one for the house of Oland\'s son, Dennis, for his office and for a boat registered to Dennis\' wife. Investigators also sought access to Richard Oland\'s financial records.
