The hospital bills of two Jordanian children who suffered severe burns in a tragic accident have been fully covered, the children’s father, Mohammad Sulaiman, told Gulf News.
The charitable donations of Good Samaritans helped him pay up the entire 12,000-riyal hospital bills.
In August, three-year-old Sulaiman and four-year-old Gazl were left in their father’s car while he went to a nearby shop for a few minutes. The children were playing with a lighter left by the father in the front seat sparking a fire to erupt.
An Omani national on the scene quickly pulled the children out of the burning car.
Dramatic video of the incident went viral on social media leading to an outpouring of support from Omani citizens and residents.
Sulaiman suffered 30 per cent burns while Gazl suffered 70 per cent burns.
“I really want to thank everyone who donated to pay the medical bills of my children, particularly Omani people,” Sulaiman told Gulf News on Wednesday.
He added that his daughter, Gazl, is in a stable condition at Khoulah Hospital where she is still undergoing treatment
