Fire kills 4 in Russia\'s St Petersburg

Four people were killed and six others admitted to hospital after a fire broke out in an apartment building in St. Petersburg\'s Kirov district. Local authorities are investigating the causes of the fire which occurred in one of St. Petersburg\'s converted Soviet-era communal apartment complexes. While arson cannot be ruled out at this stage, problems with aging electrical and gas networks seem more probable. The six survivors were said to be \"in a state of moderate severity\" in various hospitals around the city. Further details will be released in the coming hours.
