Floods in Philippines Kill 10 People

Ten people were killed and three others went missing in as flash floods hit south Philippines. The latest flood victim was a 70-year-old woman who drowned in Mindanao Island, the country’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council NDRRMC) reported Kuwait News Agency as saying. Eight people were also injured and one million others became homeless in floods that have hit the Philippines for a week, it said. The flood-caused damage is estimated at USD 1.7 million, according to Philippine authorities.
