
Waters receded Friday in Indonesia's North Sulawesi province, after 16 people were killed in flooding and landslides this week, an official said.An estimated 10,000 people were still displaced across six districts and towns in the province, said Christian Laotongan, a local disastermanagement officialAccording to dpa, the latest death toll came after rescuers recovered four bodies from a torrent of mud that slammed into a traffic jam in the town ofTomohon on Wednesday, officials said.Two injured people were rescued, while more were believed still buried.Floods and landslides are common during the rainy season in Indonesia.The floods killed at least four this week in Jakarta.
