A daytime gunfight outside an upscale cafe near the UN headquarters in the Kenyan capital Nairobi left three people dead on Wednesday.
Police said they ordered a suspicious vehicle to enter a petrol station when the occupants opened fire.
The ensuing gunfight killed three of the four suspects. No police were injured, dpa reported.
The gunfight was not believed to be related to the presence of the UN headquarters and of several embassies in the neighbourhood.
