Gunfire at Brooklyn house party injures 8

New York police said they were looking for the gunman who allegedly opened fire on guests at a party in a Brooklyn neighborhood early Sunday, injuring eight. One of the wounded was in serious condition and the shooter was apparently on the lam, police sources told the New York Daily News. The shooting occurred in the East Flatbush section of the borough where a noisy party was taking place at a home. A witness told the Daily News he saw a crowd of about 60 people standing outside and then heard a volley of gunshots. Another resident of the area said he knew there was about to be trouble when he saw a group of young women bolt from the house moments before the shooting started. \"They were running, they knew something was about to go down,\" the man said.
