Indonesian police said Friday they have detained two suspected terrorists in Nunukan, East Kalimantan, with one of them allegedly involved in the 2009 JW Marriott hotel and Ritz-Carlton hotel bombings in Jakarta. \"One of them is believed to be Upik Lawanga,\" Chairul Akbar, secretary of the National Counterterrorism Agency, was quoted saying by the Jakarta Globe online. \"But he\'s still being questioned as terrorists have several names and often deceive us.\" Chairul said they haven\'t publicly announced the arrest pending verification of the man\'s identity through DNA test. Chairul declined to say how or when the man, also known as Taufik Bulaga, was arrested, but said he would be taken to Jakarta for further investigations. Police have carried out an all-out manhunt for Upik in connection with the recent gruesome murder of two police officers in Poso, Sulawesi. According to the Jamestown Foundation\'s Militant Leadership Monitor website, Upik is described as a 34-year-old Indonesian Muslim radical from Poso. He currently ranks as the foremost Jemaah Islamiyah-affiliated bomb expert.
