Injured in helicopter accident in southern Russia transfered to Moscow

A special Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) aircraft with four people who were injured in a helicopter accident flew out from Mineralnye Vody airport, southern Russia, for Moscow overnight. Two of the injured people were in heavy condition, a source at the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s North Caucasian regional center told TASS.
It was originally planned to airlift them to St. Petersburg. But doctors who arrived from Moscow, Stavropol and specialists from the emergency medicine center during consultations decided to take the injured people to Moscow to the Vishnevsky burn treatment centre and the Sklifosovsky clinic, press service head Kantemir Davydov said.
All the injured people are members of the Emergencies Ministry’s regional center staff.
An EMERCOM Ka-32 helicopter, which was on a training flight in the Stavropol Territory, southern Russia, made a hard landing and caught fire at 18:35 Moscow time (15:35 GMT) on November 11. The captain died and four people were seriously injured in the accident. It occurred near the village of Sukhaya Padina in the Mineralnye Vody district.
The emergencies minister sent a special investigation commission to the site.
Five people were on board at the moment of the crash. One died, and four with injuries were taken to a hospital, the Emergencies Ministry said on Tuesday.
