At least 38 people have been killed in clashes involving Kurdish protesters in Turkey, reports say.
The protesters are pressing for Turkish action to counter attacks by Daesh militants on Kobane, a border town between Syria and Turkey.
Riot police used tear gas and water cannon in a number of towns and cities as the disturbances spread across the country, including Ankara and Istanbul, according to the BBC.
Curfews have now been imposed in several cities in south-eastern Turkey with large Kurdish populations.
