Light plane crash kills 2 in Ukraine

Two crew members were killed when their single-engine aircraft crashed in western Ukraine on Tuesday evening, authorities said Wednesday. The Zodiac plane caught fire in the air before plunging into a residential area in Kolomyya town in Ivano-Frankivsk region, according to the State Emergency Service. The crash killed a 24-year-old pilot and a 47-year-old engineer aboard, and no one on the ground was injured, the agency added. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
