Light plane makes emergency landing in north Philippines

A light aircraft with two people on board made an emergency landing in northern Philippine province of Pampanga on Wednesday due to low oil pressure, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said. According to Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Deputy Director General John Andrews, a Cessna 152 flight training plane encountered low oil pressure and its pilot, Capt. Eliseo de Luna with First Officer Christopher Logro declared at 8:21 a.m. local time that it would make a forced landing over lahar trail. \"Latest report on the ground said that the aircraft is intact with the two occupants being assisted by people near the venue,\" he said. The aircraft was owned by Omni Aviation Corporation, a Fixed Base Operator and Aviation Training School located in Clark Free Port Zone in Pampanga. Andrews said that the CAAP has dispatched its investigators to the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
